Around this time each year, AAHS prepares to host our annual Harvest for the Homeless benefit to raise funds and awareness for our programs. Regrettably, our 2020 event has been cancelled due to the COVID pandemic. At AAHS, we have worked hard to adjust our services to not only remain safely open for those families in our care, but also to expand our capacity to meet the rising need generated by this crisis. As of early September 2020, we have sheltered and/or housed over 50 families – 110 children and 65 adults – throughout the pandemic, and we continue to serve those vulnerable. We understand that these are challenging times for everyone and therefore have not solicited donations throughout the year. We hope that you will be able to support AAHS this year, as our work is more necessary than ever. Above all else, however, we hope this finds you and your family safe and healthy.
